Basseterre Half Day Tour
The French came to the island in 1625 and settled in Basseterre. The tour takes you around Basseterre where you can see some of the well preserved historical buildings. Like the National Museum built in 1894. Some of the many churches like the Roman Catholic and the St. Georges Anglican Church.
After meeting you at the Gold Mind store at Port Zante we then proceed to the air conditioned van. We travel around historical Basseterre and then along the northwest coast line of the island. Our first main stop is Romney Manor which has the best botanical gardens on the island and we get to look at how batik is done by waxing and dyeing. Meeting location: I will meet you at the cruise ship port in Basseterre. After the cruise ship has docked at Port Zante and you disembark walk straight through the archway where the dispatchers are. I will be on your left hand side by the store called the Gold Mind. I will be there with a Sunflower sign in my hand.
End location: The tour ends when you get back to the cruise terminal. Other drop off points in Basseterre can be agreed upon.
